Instrumental Instruction

Integral to the success of our music program are our highly skilled and dedicated Instrumental Teachers. Information about each of our teachers, their backgrounds, qualifications and the instruments they teach can be found in the short biographies.

Instrumental instruction is available to students from Year 1 to 6 and for Reception students by negotiation. Lessons generally occur throughout the school day and before and after school for students learning more than one instrument. Timetables are created and distributed at the beginning of each term, however, students can take on an instrument throughout the year.

Students learning instruments are strongly encouraged to join our Band, Orchestra and Ensembles.

Choir & Festival of Music

Festival of Music

Festival of Music, Adelaide 2022

Open to students in Years 5 and 6 the Festival of Music choir is an exciting opportunity for students to experience performing in front of a large audience on the Festival Theatre stage in Adelaide. The Festival of Music is a series of concerts, each one made up of 12 schools, each of which, throughout the year, has been learning the assigned musical repertoire. Students involved in the Festival of Music have recently been able to be part of the Port Pirie Regional Festival, which has been a fabulous experience for our students to see other parts of our state and meet with country students.
